ABOUT US

Responsible Business

At Corker Binning we believe that all businesses, large and small, can contribute to their communities.

We currently support two charities annually. In 2025, we supported Alzheimer’s Research UK and Just for Kids Law.

We believe that all businesses, large and small, can positively contribute to their communities and be responsible in the way they operate. We look at our responsibilities in terms of our profits, our people and the planet to see how we can use our business to create an impact beyond the core purpose of our business which is to advise our clients when faced with the prospect of or an allegation involving the criminal justice system.

Every year we choose two charities nominated by our staff to be our charities of the year. We donate a percentage of our profits to them, and also hold fundraising activities in the office throughout the year.

We also have long-standing relationships with other non-profit organisations, notably:

THE BIG HOUSE

The Big House – an organisation which works with young people who have been through the care system and are finding life difficult. The Big House provides youth with a platform to participate in the making of theatre to have their voices heard. Corker Binning has delivered workshops and regularly attend their performances, as well as providing financial assistance.

Social Mobility Foundation Logo

The Social Mobility Foundation is  a charity which aims to make a practical improvement in social mobility for young people from low-income backgrounds   We take on a number of students from the Social Mobility Foundation’s Aspiring Professionals Programme every summer, providing work experience for talented sixth formers with legal aspirations. A number of our partners also provide individual mentoring to students through the SMF.

We have partnered with The Glasshouse to install plants throughout our office. The Glasshouse is a social enterprise that offers female prisoners horticultural work to help increase their chances of gaining full-time employment on release (not being in employment being a key risk to re-offending).
