Corker Binning attending the 20th Annual IBA Transnational Crime Conference

Partner Jessica Parker, Of Counsel Claire Cross and Senior Associate Anna Rothwell are attending the 20th Annual IBA Transnational Crime Conference in Lisbon from 17th – 19th May 2017.

Jessica will also be co-chairing the session “Conducting the defence investigation: a comparison of law and practice”, on Thursday 18 May 2017. Speakers from this session include Francesco Isolabella Della Croce, Stephane de Navacelle and Paul Schoeman.

The conference is presented by the IBA Criminal Law Committee and IBA Business Crime Committee, supported by the IBA Law Firm Management Committee, the IBA War Crimes Committee, the IBA Arbitration Committee, the IBA Anti-Money Laundering Forum, the IBA Mining Law Committee, the IBA African Regional Forum and the IBA North American Regional Forum. Topics to be covered include: challenges in international cross-border investigations and criminal defence work, approaches across jurisdictions to ethical and practical questions, conducting the defence investigation, the right to silence, criminal issues arising in international trade, and current developments in cross-border cooperations.
