At the Annual General Meeting of the British Academy of Forensic Science, on 22 April, Robert Brown was re-elected as Honorary Treasurer of the Academy. Professor Robert Flanagan was elected as President. The AGM was followed by a reception and dinner at the Barbour Surgeons Hall in the City of London. The after dinner speakers were The Right Honourable Lord Justice Treacy and Ms Rosalyn Hammond who discussed their respective roles as Trial Judge and Forensic Science Expert in the trial of Gary Dobson who was convicted on 3rd January 2012 for the murder of Stephen Lawrence.
