Partner David Corker is today, 21 June 2018, speaking at the CDR Summer Business Crime Symposium 2018 at Sofitel London St James.
This is CDR’s first conference on business crime – the Summer Business Crime Symposium – which will consider all the leading topics in this important area. This includes criminal law enforcement, corporate criminal liability, statutes of limitations, initiation of investigations, procedures of gathering information and legal professional privilege.
David Corker will be speaking during The Criminal Finances Act 2017 and its implications for business session. With the passage of the Criminal Finances Act, businesses will have to adjust to a wide range of new requirements, ranging from notifications of suspicious activity, to the new offence of criminal facilitation of tax avoidance, and a radical overhaul of the previous anti-money laundering and confiscation regime.
