On the 25th February 2015, David Corker will be speaking at the ‘Cross-Border Wealth Planning for Divorce’ conference at the Grange City Hotel in London.
Recent landmark family court decisions in Prest, Tchenguiz and Young amongst others have had a dramatic knock-on effect on wealth structuring and planning. Not only through the piercing of the veil but in the public consciousness.
The practical impact of a divorce on structures and succession arrangements is becoming more and more pronounced. It is vital for private client practitioners to understand and incorporate family law considerations, previously a misunderstood and ignored area, into their planning strategies.
David will be partaking in the panel discussion Understanding Different Ways that Trusts and Individuals could come Under Attack, alongside John Darnton of Bircham Dyson Bell and Fiona Simpson of Kingsley Napley. The panel will discuss committal orders, commercial sanctions, penalties and mitigation.
