Tech businessman and former adviser to a prime minister, Mike Lynch, is set to be extradited to the US to face criminal charges over the sale of Autonomy to HP, following the High Court’s decision to deny permission to appeal.
Partner Edward Grange has been featured in several high-profile publications today commenting on the decision to block Mr Lynch’s bid to keep the case in the UK.
“It signifies exhaustion of domestic remedies in the UK against the order for his extradition.”
“The decision by the high court will do little to ease the anxieties of many UK executives who had an eye on this case, fearing that fallout from business deals involving the US could see them being hauled before US courts many years later”.
