Jessica Parker comments in the IBA Magazine on Anti Money Laundering checks

Partner Jessica Parker commented in IBA Magazine in an article on Anti Money Laundering checks in UK law firms.

A fifth of UK law firms are failing to perform basic anti-money laundering (AML) checks despite repeated warnings that the legal profession is not doing enough to keep dirty money out of the City.

Jessica stated that ‘There may be a case for the SRA and other regulators taking tougher action where [there are] money laundering compliance failures.’
