Partner Edward Grange provides commentary for Criminal Law Week.
Regarding R. (Lynch) v Westminster Magistrates’ Court [2022] Ed states, “This is not an end to the saga. Dr Lynch is expected to appeal the Chancery judgment (when finally handed down in full), as well as the decision of the district judge to send his case to the Secretary of State and her recent decision to order his extradition.”
Further, regarding Public Prosecutors Office of the Athens Court of Appeal v O’Connor [2022] Ed argues, “If the requested person is represented by solicitors and has instructed them to appeal, he should seek confirmation that the appeal has been lodged and served and, if he does not receive that confirmation within the seven-day period, he should immediately lodge and serve notice of his application for leave to appeal himself.”
