We are pleased to announce that Corker Binning partner, Peter Binning, has been named Business Crime Defence Lawyer of the Year at the Who’s Who Legal Awards for the second year running.
The awards, which were held at the Honourable Artillery Company in London last night, recognise the individuals and firms that have performed exceptionally well in Who’s Who Legal’s research across practice areas and jurisdictions.
Peter Binning said:
“It’s a great honour to be recognised as Who’s Who Legal’s Business Crime Defence Lawyer of the Year once again. The award is in no small part due to the exceptional talent across the firm, enabling us to deliver outstanding results for our clients – both corporates and individuals – in some of the most complex, challenging and high-profile cases.”
Over the past year, Peter’s client work has included acting for:
- Bernie Ecclestone, the former Formula One boss, in criminal proceedings arising out of an HMRC civil tax investigation prosecuted by the CPS;
- ENRC in the decade-long SFO investigation, which was recently discontinued on the grounds of insufficient evidence.
